Someone You Should Know
Every meeting, two Mount Horeb High School seniors join us and tell us their stories. These are the students who help build our community. Who volunteer. Who teach and share with our younger kids, pack the food parcels, sing in the choir, stay late after practice. The kind of young person Mount Horeb quietly grows year after year.
Each one is honored for outstanding community service at the club's monthly meeting, with family in the room. They go home with a certificate and $50, and every honoree is eligible for an Optimist Club scholarship at the Senior Awards event in May.
We share their stories on our Facebook page, in the Mount Horeb Mail, and here, so you can know them too.
